Elisa Skees

Elisa Skees joined Donovan CPAs as a CAS Manager. She brings a decade of diverse public accounting experience to her role, having progressed from an administrative position to operations and firm management. Over the years, Elisa has held roles as a staff and senior accountant, payroll specialist, consultant, and manager, each adding to her well-rounded understanding of business challenges. She has developed close relationships with entrepreneurs through her advisory work, diving deep into various industries and providing strategic insights to help clients succeed.

Elisa is passionate about solving complex problems that can limit business growth. She thrives on using the latest technology to enhance efficiency and uncover growth opportunities, finding fulfillment in being a trusted partner who helps clients confidently navigate their financial landscape.

Outside of work, Elisa enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors, whether playing beach volleyball, kayaking, or walking. She’s also an avid traveler with a special love for the Caribbean, where she finds time to relax and recharge. Family time is especially important to Elisa; she spends weekends with her husband, one-year-old daughter, and 15-year-old stepson, cherishing movie nights, game sessions, and simple moments together.

Before entering public accounting, Elisa had a background in early childhood education, teaching pre-K, and she continues to enjoy working with children. She volunteers in the children’s ministry at her church, combining her love for teaching with a commitment to nurturing young minds.

Elisa also has an unwavering love for coffee—with whipped cream, of course—which she credits for keeping her cheerful and energized.
