With over 10 years of experience, BJ leads Donovan’s Assurance Services practice.
BJ has vast experience in working with a number of different industries, including technology, manufacturing, wholesale and distribution, not-for-profit, and charter schools. He also specializes in 401(k) audits.

About Benjamin A. “BJ” Lippert
BJ has more than 10 years of experience in the public accounting field, serving all types of businesses from large, publicly-traded clients to small locally-owned clients.
BJ is a local Bulldog Alumnus. He received both his Masters in Professional Accountancy and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Butler University. In 2015, BJ joined the Donovan team where he leads the firm’s Assurance Services team. He is responsible for audits, reviews, compilations and consulting with clients in all industries served by the firm.
BJ is passionate about developing young professionals and building an atmosphere of encouragement and support. He has a strong belief that staff development leads to retention, retention leads to opportunities and opportunities lead people to want to serve clients with excellence.
When he is not bringing a continuous improvement environment to the Donovan team, he can be found spending time with his family. As a husband and father, BJ starts and ends everyday with his family’s best interests in mind.
BJ is heavily involved in the community and he currently serves as the Treasurer for First Meridian Heights Presbyterian Church. He is also a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In the past, BJ has also served as a member of the Finance Committee for Fairbanks, and on the Emerging Leaders Alliance and Leadership Cabinet for the Indiana CPA Society.
