1972

Bob Donovan acquired Jim B. Davis, CPA practice and became Robert M Donovan, CPA.

1981

R.M. Donovan & Associates, Inc. changed the firm name to Donovan & Thomas, P.C. and Paul Thomas becomes a partner.

1994

Jeff Donovan becomes an employee of DCPAs.

1995

Revenue surpasses $1,000,000.

1997

Jeff Donovan becomes a partner at DCPAs.

2003

Donovan & Thomas, P.C. acquired Poynter & Associates practice which had been in business since 1966

2006

Donovan & Thomas, P.C. acquired Terry L. Dillon, CPA practice which had been in business since 1974 and became Donovan & Thomas – Danville Donovan & Dillon – Plainfield. Terry Dillon retires.

2007

Paul Thomas retires.

2008

Became Donovan Certified Public Accountants and Advisors

2011

Jeff becomes managing partner at DCPAs.

2014

Rex Miller becomes a partner.

2015

Donovan acquired Fitzgerald Isaacs CPAs and opens an office on North Meridian Street.

2017

BJ Lippert becomes a partner. Indianapolis office moves to newly renovated space at 9292 N Meridian Street.

2019

Donovan CPAs acquired Michael Robertson & Associates, Bob Donovan retires, Jimmy Wade becomes a partner, and revenue surpasses $4,000,000.

Nov 1, 2022

The Lemler Group is merged into Donovan CPAs and David Lemler becomes a partner

Dec 1, 2022

LaRosa CPAs is merged into Donovan CPAs and Mary Riggle and Neal Stegemiller become partners.

End of 2022

Jay Boughner becomes a partner, and Donovan CPAs is recognized for the first time as a Best Places to Work In Indiana.

January of 2024

Donovan CPAs acquires the Assurance practice of Delta Wealth Advisors and expands footprint in the 9292 N Meridian office as revenue surpasses $10,000,000.

2024

Donovan CPAs is recognized on IBJ’s Fast 25 list, IBJ’s annual ranking of the fastest growing companies in the Indianapolis area. It is also again recognized as a Best Places to Work in Indiana.

Beginning of 2025

Trinity Ellis and Trish Hamilton become partners. Jeff Donovan becomes firm visionary, passing the managing partner torch to BJ Lippert.

2025

Firm doubles its footprint in the 9292 N Meridian office.
